A 10-year-old girl was arrested and charged with rape related charges after she was accused of raping a 4-year-old boy, according to police reports in Texas.
Now, the mother of the girl, who was accused of raping the boy in her apartment complex, said that police officers have it all wrong.
"She was just being a kid having fun and playing," she said. "She did not know she was doing something wrong," she also said.
According to the mother, the girl has been accused of raping the boy in the courtyard of the complex.
Houston Police confirmed that the rape incident was reported. A sex crimes investigator was assigned to the case, and the arrest was made last week.
"Me and my mother cried and then, they took me to the police car," the girl said. "I did not want to go," the girl also said.
"Just to see her looking through the bars shouting for me to get her out, was a nightmare," the mother said.
Finally, she was transferred to a juvenile justice center, where she was fingerprinted, issued a standard jump suit and locked in a cell.
The girl spent four days in jail before being released. Exactly what happened that day remains unclear. If convicted, the girl could have to register as a sex offender, and her mother admits that her daughter may have committed a crime. “I’m not saying she did not do it, all I’m saying is that she is still a child,” the mother said.
